World Hypertension Day: Organisations’ Role
Today, the pandemic has made matters worse for mental health difficulties and even for people who work from home, according to a study.
According to the poll, which included 12,000 employees, managers, HR leaders, and C-level executives from 11 countries, 78 percent believe that the pandemic has badly impacted their mental health. The study report says that mental health at work isn’t only a professional issue; it’s also affecting people’s personal lives, particularly those who work from home.
Meanwhile, 85 percent of those polled say they have mental health difficulties causing sleep deprivation, poor physical health, decreased satisfaction at home, strained family relationships, and social isolation.
It stated that employers are doing less to address mental health issues, and that 76% of workers believe their organisation should be doing more to preserve their employees’ mental health.
