21 Vacancies In Railway Under Sports Quota: Know Eligibility, How To Apply And More

Indian Railway has invited online applications for 21 vacancies under the sports quota. Qualified and interested sportspersons can apply for these vacancies at https://www.rrcwr.com between 5 Sep 2022 and 4 Oct 2022. The point to note here is there will be no reservation for SC, ST and OBC candidates for these 21 vacancies.

The vacancy for these 21 Grade C jobs across various disciplines has been floated by the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Western Railway (WR)

Important dates for applying to Railway Recruitment 2022 sports quota

  • Starting Date of Online Application: 5 September 2022
  • Last Date of Online Application: 4 October 2022

Eligibility Criteria:

  • For Level 4-5 Vacancy: Candidates need to be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • For Level 2 -3 Vacancy: Candidates must be 10+2 or its equivalent examination passed.

Age limits for Sports Quota Railway Vacancy 2022

  • Minimum Age: 18 years (as of 1/1/2023)
  • Maximum Age: 25 years (as of 1/1/2023)

The cut-off date to determine the candidate’s age is 1 January 2023.

Any sports person born between 02/01/1998 and 01/01/2005 (both dates including) is eligible to apply.

What is the Pay Matrix for these 21 sports quota railway vacancy 2022

  • For Level 2-3 Vacancy: ₹ 25,500 – ₹ 81,100
  • For Level 4-5 Vacancy: ₹ 29,200 – ₹ 92,300

How to Apply for Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2022

  • The candidates can apply online on the official website at https://www.rrcwr.com.
  • Candidates need their respective 12 digits Aadhaar Card numbers to register.
  • In case you don’t have an Aadhaar Card but have applied for the same, you can fill in 28 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar Enrolment slip.

Application Fee:

  • For General Candidate: ₹ 500/-
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Minorities* and Economic Backward Class: ₹ 250/-

What is Railway Recruitment 2022 Selection Process under Sports Quota

The recruitment will be based on sports trials, assessment of sports achievements, and verification of educational qualifications. The eligible candidates will be called for Document Verification before the Trial. Then there will be a sports trial a Sportsperson has to pass to move to the next round of tests.
